Lloyd George Hickson was born on April 25th 1925. He attended Muskerry East State School. He married Ethel Ivy Morgan and they had three children, Yvonne Lorraine born June 13 1953, Cheryl Grace born May 24th 1955 and James Stuart born September 9th 1961.
Lloyd and Ethel met at a dance at Knowsley Hall. Ethel had been invited to stay at her workmate Elsie Hickson’s home in Knowsley, in Central Victoria, in order to meet her “ lovely”cousin Lloyd. It was love at first sight. They both enjoyed dancing and they felt an immediate connection. They were married at Forest Street Methodist Church in Forest Street Bendigo on September 1st 1951. Ethel told Lloyd about her previous marriage and divorce. She was pleased that it did not concern Lloyd, whom she felt was a caring and gentle man. Sadly Lloyd died suddenly on April 4th 1977.
